On August 24, 2018, the China Oral Health Foundation's "Love Tooth Angel Action" series of public welfare activities opened its first stop event in Qingdao, Shandong. The guests included Professor Lihong Ge, Chairman of the China Oral Health Foundation, Qinghua Liu, Chairman of Qingdao Women's Federation, Zhongshuai Li, Deputy Director of Qingdao Municipal Health Planning Commission, Executive Vice President of Shandong Provincial Stomatological Association, and Professor Xin Xu, former Dean of Shandong University Stomatological Hospital. Wanchun Wang, Dean of Qingdao Stomatological Hospital, and from the support company, Jiawei Wadeng Company, project public welfare executive unit, media, and invited representatives.

With the theme of caring for children's oral health, the "Love Tooth Angels Action" aims to respond to the national "Healthy China" call, to exert the power of various oral medical institutions, regulate disease prevention and control, improve the operation level, and reduce the prevalence of dental caries in children. To achieve the goal of achieving a 12-year-old children's caries rate within 30% (2025) in the State Council's Medium- and Long-Term Plan for Prevention and Treatment of Chronic Diseases.

The event was jointly carried out by the China Oral Health Foundation in conjunction with various dental institutions. The China Oral Health Foundation conducts a wide range of project publicity and promotion throughout the country, organizes and mobilizes various dental medical institutions to actively participate, and grants “public welfare project execution unit” cards to qualified medical institutions, providing free education materials and dental fluorides materials for dental institutions. Each dental institution provides a series of oral disease prevention services for no less than 1,000 children aged 3-12 free of charge, including oral health education, oral health check, and dental fluoride. It is expected that through the launch of the event, more than 10,000 children will benefit from the next three years. It is worth mentioning that nine of the ten dental institutions that have been called for the first time to participate in the action of the cherished angels are private dental institutions. As the core force for the future of the oral health of the whole people, the private dental clinic actively participates in public welfare projects, takes the initiative to assume social responsibilities, and enhances the ability in the project while also bringing benefits to the people. At the event site, Yiwei Jiawei Wadente Company and foundation leaders donated fluorine protective paint products to the first batch of project implementation units.
