As we all know, age 3-12 is the peak of teeth replacement and a critical period for teeth formation. During this period, children's oral health has very important impact on their growth, so both parents and teachers are very concerned about their children's oral condition.

In order to make sure the children know about oral structure and health knowledge, improve oral health awareness, cultivate their own good health habits, and teach them to enjoy the pleasure of going to the dentist, Weifang Stomatological Hospital organized the staff of Pediatric Dentistry Department to go to Qingzhou Happy Spring Kindergarten on September 21, and to carry out a series of activities--I'm A Little Dentist

At the beginning of the activities, the children changed into pure white little dentist overalls immediately. The little dentists were energetic. In the dental class, the medical staff explained in detail the structure of teeth, the development of dental caries, the proper way to brush teeth and to protect them and other related oral health knowledge to little dentists and guided them to protect their teeth step by step.

After completing the study of theoretical knowledge, the doctors conducted oral examination for every child for free, informed the accompanying parents about their oral problems, and gave free fluorine coating to some children on site.

Under the guidance of our professional medical staff, children experienced the pleasure of being a dentist. Their task is to examine their parents teeth. The children with professional tools were both excited and nervous. With the patient help of our medical staff, they successfully completed the work of the little dentist, eliminated the fear of going to the dentist, gained the joy of being a dentist and learned to appreciate the sacred mission of being a dentist.

After the activities, every child promised that they would brush their teeth everyday, take good care of their teeth, reduce intake of sugar and carbonated drinks. The parents praised the activity highly as well.

During learning in the game, the children not only gained a deeper understanding of oral health, but also learned the correct ways to care for their teeth. We hope that in their future, every child can apply the knowledge, lead a healthy life, and develop the good habit of lifelong benefit.
